About PAM

Progressive Asset Management (PAM) was founded in 1987 as the first full-service investment firm to specialize in socially responsible investing.  Today, we have grown into a national network of experienced Financial Advisors as the socially responsible division of Financial West Group (FWG).  We now have offices all across the country and our local PAM Northeast Group (PAMNE) has offices in CT, MA, NH, NY and VT.

PAM’s long-term experience and commitment to socially and environmentally responsible investing (SRI) is unparalleled:

·          PAM is a founding member of Businesses for Social Responsibility as well as CERES (Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies.)

·          PAM received the 1996 Rainforest Action Business Network’s Friend of the Rainforest Award for its sponsorship of various shareholder resolutions.

·          As the lead filer in a shareholder resolution addressing poor labor practices, PAM successfully negotiated to have Disney Corporation change labor policies.  This was a nationwide campaign to end sweatshop practices abroad.

·          PAM and The Global Academy co-hosted the first national conference on socially responsible investing for institutional investors in 2001.

·          Other resolutions have been filed to stop practices such as clear-cutting forests, environmental pollution, discrimination against employees and more.
